From 1 August 2021 there will be changes to the following courses. This is due to a national training package update.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation will change from HLTAID001 to HLTAID009. This course is also the annual update for CPR.
Provide First Aid will change from HLTAID003 to HLTAID011. This course is also known as Senior First Aid and Level 2 First Aid. Includes CPR as part of this course.
Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting will change from HLTAID004 to HLTAID012. Includes CPR as part of this course.
Nationally Recognised Unit Code and Title: HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
This unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
This courses is delivered partially online in your own time and with a short face-to-face session. The online work needs to be complete prior to the practical session.

This unit applies to a range of workers within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthma and anaphylactic emergencies. This includes early childhood workers and educators who work with school age children in outside school hours care and vacation programs.

Environment
This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid in an electricity supply industry (ESI) environment.
It includes the recognition and provision of an initial response where first aid is required and how it applies to ESI workers to meet work health and safety (WHS)/occupational health and safety (OHS), mobility and mutual aid requirement.

Nationally Recognised Unit Code and Title: 22556VIC - Course in the Management of Asthma Risks and Emergencies in the Workplace
This unit of competency provides the skills and knowledge to be able to develop an asthma risk assessment and emergency management strategy to handle asthma episodes in the workplace. It provides background knowledge of the triggers, signs, symptoms and effects of asthma as well as emergency management.

Non-Accredited Workshop
Participants will have the skills and knowledge to perform basic life support procedures and manage other potential serious first aid conditions. This course has been designed as an awareness course for parent, grandparents or relatives who care for young children.
